Wheat-Free | Glossary

Wheat-free indicates that a product does not contain wheat or wheat-derived ingredients. This is often selected for pets with sensitivities or dietary preferences. Removing wheat from a formula can simplify the ingredient profile and reduce reliance on certain grain-based fillers or binding agents.

In many cases, pet owners choose wheat-free foods when looking for alternative carbohydrate sources or when trying to create a more limited and straightforward diet. The term does not necessarily indicate a low-carbohydrate food, but rather the absence of wheat specifically within the formulation.
