Storing & Thawing:

I buy a variety of tripe products for my two, small geriatric dogs. They always love when I feed them Raw Paws Pet Food. I mix a packet of Meal Mix from Dr. Karen Becker - it has other vitamins and minerals that could be missing from simply raw meat. One packet per pound of meat. It's a bit of work to thaw and portion out, but it's worth it because they love it and I know it's good for them.
Thank you for making the tripe accessible and easy. You guys know what you are doing. I really felt like I was dealing with fellow raw feeders.

I've been cooking for my dogs since 2004 and just recently started feeding raw. This company is like 1 in a million. Why ? Because they actually put the customer first!!!! They sell quality food at a fair price and did I mention they ship it super fast too. The customer service is just amazing here and they are always available to answer your questions. My dog is in kidney failure so I purchase these foods for his health. His health has improved since eating this food and he licks his bowl clean every time. I'm a completely satisfied customer.

About 6 months ago, my 14 year old Cavachon was diagnosed with stage 2 kidney disease (BUN of 56, creatinine of 2.2). My vet convinced me to put her on a dry prescription kidney diet for a few months, but after further research, I switched her to a more natural, moisture-rich diet of Dr. Harvey's canine health with tripe. I have been rotating between the goat, lamb and beef tripe, with a different tripe protein each week. She LOVES her new food and gobbles up the tripe raw (she has never eaten raw previously). In just 1 month of the tripe-based meals, her BUN has decreased to 37, and her creatinine is now in the NORMAL range at 1.5 (0.5-1.8). Raw tripe has been able to reverse her kidney disease, which we were told would be progressive. Thank you Raw Paws!

Tripe stinks. There's no way around it. But, it is so very important to your dog's nutrition. They seem to love it and it helps them with the nutritients they miss in other foods. The smellier, the better. Feed it and see the difference.
