What Is Palatability?

Palatability describes how appealing a food is to a pet through its aroma, texture, taste, and overall eating experience. Dogs and cats evaluate food with far more than their taste buds.

Smell often influences interest before the first bite is taken, while texture affects how enjoyable the food feels during chewing. Foods made from recognizable animal ingredients frequently rely on their natural characteristics rather than artificial flavor enhancement.

Although nutritional value remains essential, palatability helps explain why two foods with similar nutrient profiles can receive very different reactions from the same pet.

Raw Food is a pet's ancestral diet and is naturally palatable to their taste buds!
