I had hoped to find some kind of healthy chew-type treat that would take my dog awhile to consume. He loves bully sticks but I wanted to change it up. It takes him days to consume a bully stick...these trachea go down much faster. He ate the whole thing in the matter of an hour. Totally gone. And he's only 15 pounds. They do break up in pieces if your dog likes to eat rather than chew so stand by if you have concerns about the larger jagged pieces produced when the dog bites hard. I can't speak to any unpleasant smell or messiness since it was gone so fast. But I didn't notice anything at all in that short hour. Definitely worth a try.
